This is not your average plant protein – in fact I’d go as far to say that this is quite revolutionary in it’s approach.
Strom have hydrolysed the pea and rice protein, making it easier to digest, and then added in the missing essential amino acids, so that unlike most vegan protein powders, you’re getting a complete amino acid profile.
That’s what makes it stand out – it’s fast, it’s complete, and it supports recovery effectively. It also digests extremely well, great for those of you who struggle with lactose.
I’d personally go for one scoop after training, and on rest days I’d use it to top up my protein if meals are a bit light. It mixes well with water, and also works great stirred into oats.
Who it’s for:
Anyone looking for a non-dairy, allergen-friendly protein.
Athletes who want a fast-digesting recovery shake.
Those who struggle with whey or casein.
People who value a complete amino acid profile, not just BCAAs.
What it does:
Provides a complete amino acid spectrum for optimal recovery.
Hydrolysed for rapid digestion and absorption.
Supports muscle repair and protein synthesis after training.
Velositol® enhances the muscle protein response when taken with protein.
How I would use it:
One scoop (30 g) daily, ideally post-workout. On non-training days, take when dietary protein is low to top levels up. Consistency matters more than exact timing.
If you’re in any doubt, read my ‘How much protein do I actually need?’ post in the articles section.
The Science:
Study: Branched-chain amino acid ingestion stimulates muscle myofibrillar protein synthesis following resistance exercise in humans.
Frontiers in Physiology, 2017
https://www.frontiersin.org/
BCAA alone increased protein synthesis vs placebo, but the effect was about 50% lower than intact protein with the same BCAA content. This shows a full complement of essential amino acids is required to maximise recovery and adaptation.
Study: Essential amino acids are primarily responsible for the amino acid-induced stimulation of muscle protein anabolism in healthy elderly adults.
American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 2003

Essential amino acids, not non-essential, were responsible for stimulating muscle protein anabolism in humans. This highlights why complete proteins like NiPro are superior to blends missing key EAAs.
