The Parish Walk is one of the toughest endurance events around, mentally and physically.
85 miles. Potentially 24 hours on your feet if you have ambitions of reaching the finish. Sleep deprivation. Sore joints and muscles. Mental fatigue. Changeable weather conditions.
A lot of people underestimate just how important fuelling, hydration and electrolyte intake become during long endurance events like this.
One thing I would strongly recommend is trialling products before the actual event day itself.
The last thing you want is stomach issues, bloating, nausea or flavour fatigue halfway through the Parish Walk because you’ve never tested products out rigorously beforehand.
Everybody tolerates products differently, especially during long-duration endurance events.
Buying a couple of packs and trialling different fuelling and hydration strategies during your longer training walks would be a very smart move.
That’s exactly why I’ve put together the VITALISE Parish Walk Survival Pack.
Instead of panic-buying random products the night before, this gives you a solid range of tried-and-tested essentials to help support energy, hydration, electrolyte balance, cramp prevention and recovery throughout the event.
Normally worth over £30, available for just £15.95.

Pack Contains:
⚡️ Clif Bar
A substantial carb-based food source to help provide longer-lasting energy.
Provides carbohydrates predominantly coming from oats, helping give you an alternative to relying purely on gels and drinks throughout the walk.
Steve says: I’d personally use this earlier in the event or at a checkpoint when you feel like you need ‘solid tasty whole food’ rather than another gel.
A lot of people hit a wall because they under-eat early on.
Don’t wait until you’re completely empty before fuelling.
⚡️ High5 Zero Electrolyte Tube
Effervescent electrolyte tablets designed to help replace salts and minerals lost through sweating.
Contains key electrolytes such as sodium and magnesium.
Steve says: This is something I’d sip regularly on before and throughout the event, and I’d increase the amount if conditions are warm or humid.
A common mistake during endurance events is drinking loads of plain water without replacing electrolytes alongside it.
That can leave people feeling flat, crampy and drained.
⚡️ SiS GO Isotonic Caffeine Gel
Fast-acting carbohydrate gel containing caffeine, designed to provide quick usable energy without needing additional water immediately afterwards.
Steve says: This is ideal for those periods when energy and focus start dipping.
Personally, I’d save caffeine products for strategic moments during the walk rather than hammering them early on.
Use them when you genuinely need a lift physically/mentally.
⚡️ High5 Energy Gel
Simple and effective fast carbohydrate energy source.
Easy to carry and easy to consume whilst moving.
Steve says: Perfect for topping energy levels back up during the walk.
Small, portable and practical and tasty.
The key with endurance fuelling is staying ahead of a crash rather than trying to recover from it afterwards.
⚡️ SaltStick Fast Chews
Fast-acting electrolyte chew tablets designed to help replenish and maintain mineral balance lost through sweat.
Steve says: These are brilliant to carry in your pocket.
Very handy if you need electrolytes but can’t take in any more fluid.
The Parish Walk can turn into an electrolyte management event just as much as an endurance event.
⚡️ Fuel X Pro Endurance Fuel & Aminos
A carbohydrate and amino acid formula designed to support endurance performance and hydration.
Steve says: This is a great all-rounder.
Useful for helping maintain energy output whilst also supplying amino acids during prolonged activity.
I’d personally use this in your bottles across the event rather than relying purely on water.
⚡️ SiS Beta Fuel Chews
High-carbohydrate chew blocks designed for sustained endurance fuelling.
A convenient alternative to gels.
Steve says: Some people eventually get flavour fatigue from gels.
These are a nice alternative because they give you another texture whilst still delivering valuable carbohydrates.
Very easy to eat little and often.
⚡️ CrampFix Sachet
A concentrated formula commonly used by endurance athletes to help manage cramp during long-duration events.
Steve says: Endurance athletes swear by this stuff! It’s a miracle product!
Cramp can completely derail an event very quickly, especially late into the Parish Walk when fatigue and dehydration start accumulating.
Definitely one worth having available, even just for peace of mind. You might not need it, but if you do, it’s worth its weight in gold. It can keep you in the game!
⚡️ Whey Protein Sachet
High-quality protein sachet to support recovery after the event.
Steve says: Recovery nutrition matters.
Once the event is over, your body is going to need protein, fluids and rest.
This is just a simple and convenient way to start that recovery process.
