Marchon Carb + Electrolytes
(1050g tub)

£25.95

Marchon Carb + Electrolytes is designed for athletes who need both fuel and hydration during longer or more demanding training sessions.

Rather than relying on carbohydrates alone, Marchon have combined multiple carbohydrate sources with electrolytes and taurine to support sustained energy output, hydration and endurance performance.

This is particularly suited to runners, cyclists, Hyrox/Crossfit athletes, footballers, triathletes and anyone training hard for longer than 60 minutes where both energy and fluid replacement become important.

Particularly useful during prolonged training sessions lasting longer than 60 minutes.

I really like the thinking behind this product.

A lot of people spend ages worrying about which pre-workout they’re taking, yet completely overlook the thing that often has the biggest impact on performance, carbohydrate availability.

Once your sessions start stretching beyond an hour, especially if they’re intense, carbohydrates become a huge factor in maintaining output. When energy starts to drop, so does pace, power, concentration and decision making.

What Marchon have done here is combine multiple carbohydrate sources with electrolytes and taurine, so you’re not just addressing fuel requirements, you’re also addressing hydration at the same time.

For endurance athletes, Hyrox/Crossfit competitors, footballers, cyclists and runners, that makes a lot of sense.

I also like the flexibility. One scoop gives you a relatively modest carbohydrate intake, whilst three scoops allows you to push up to 90g of carbohydrates if you’re doing a longer event or particularly demanding session.

This isn’t a product I’d recommend for someone doing a quick 30-minute gym workout. It’s definitely overkill for that.

Where it comes into its own is longer training sessions, competitions, endurance events and situations where maintaining performance becomes the priority.

If I was preparing for a long ride, a long run, a Hyrox/Crossfit event or a particularly demanding training session, this is exactly the type of product I’d be looking at.
