STYRKR GEL30 Nitro+ is an endurance energy gel designed to provide fast, practical fuel before or during hard training and competition.
What separates Nitro+ from a standard gel is that it combines STYRKR’s dual-carb system with natural nitrate sources from beetroot extract and amaranthus leaf extract.
That means you’re getting 30g carbohydrates for fuel, plus nitrate support aimed at improving nitric oxide availability, oxygen efficiency and endurance performance.

This is one of those products where the difference actually matters.
Most gels are simply carbohydrate delivery systems. There’s nothing wrong with that, because during endurance work carbohydrates are absolutely essential, but GEL30 Nitro+ aims to go a step further.
You’re still getting the 30g carbohydrate hit, using STYRKR’s 1:0.8 maltodextrin to fructose ratio, which is there to improve carbohydrate absorption and reduce gut issues. That’s important because it’s no good having a gel that looks good on paper if it sits badly in your stomach during a run, ride or event.
Where Nitro+ separates itself is the nitrate element. With beetroot extract and amaranthus leaf extract, the idea is to support nitric oxide production. In simple terms, that may help the body use oxygen more efficiently during endurance exercise.
For me, this makes it more of a performance gel than just a standard energy gel.
I’d look at this for harder sessions, race day, longer endurance work, cycling, running, triathlon, Hyrox/Crossfit-style training or anything where you need both fuel and the possibility of a little performance edge.
As always, don’t save it for race day and hope for the best. Practise with it in training first. Gels are very individual, and your gut needs to be trained just like your legs do.
The Science:
Carbohydrate and exercise performance: the role of multiple transportable carbs
Study: This review looked at the use of multiple transportable carbohydrates during prolonged exercise, particularly combinations such as glucose/fructose or maltodextrin/fructose.
Current Opinion in Clinical Nutrition and Metabolic Care, 2010
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20574242/
The paper supports STYRKR’s dual-carb approach, showing that multiple transportable carbohydrates can increase carbohydrate oxidation, improve fluid delivery, reduce fatigue and improve endurance performance compared with single-source carbohydrate approaches.
The effect of dietary nitrate supplementation on endurance exercise performance in healthy adults: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Study: This systematic review and meta-analysis investigated whether dietary nitrate supplementation improves endurance exercise performance in healthy adults.

This is relevant to Nitro+ because its differentiator is natural nitrate support from beetroot and amaranthus leaf extract, aimed at improving nitric oxide availability and endurance performance.
