What sets this product apart is its thoughtful formulation. Who it’s for:

Ideal for individuals seeking a high-protein, hydrating option post-exercise. Suitable for those following a gluten-free diet. Ideal for anyone who doesn’t tolerate creamy whey shakes from a digestion perspective.

What it does:

Provides 23g of protein per serving to support muscle recovery and growth, while the added electrolytes aid in rehydration and maintaining fluid balance.

How I would use it:

Well as a coach, I am definitely seeing an increase in the amount of people who can’t seem to tolerate traditional whey protein due to gastric upset – which kinda says everything really about the decline in gut health in modern day society.

That aside, this solves a growing problem – great quality whey isolate, no creamy-milky drink to have to force down, just a refreshing juice drink that packs a punch.

I’m ok with traditional whey, but I do find this very handy if I’m training later in the day and I still have a big meal to get down when I get home. A meal and a thick shake can be too much, whereas a meal and a juice drink just sits better.

Flavour wise, it’s anything berry for me, but as with all Per4M products, they all taste bang on to be fair!

The Science:

Whey protein isolate is highly pure and low in lactose, supporting tolerance in sensitive individuals

Study: Protein – Which Is Best?

Journal of Sports Science and Medicine (review)

This comprehensive review explains that whey protein isolates contain >90% protein, with nearly all lactose and fat removed – making them much gentler than concentrates. Because of the minimal lactose and low fat, isolates are better tolerated by users with mild lactose intolerance or digestive sensitivity while delivering high-quality protein.

Whey isolate has a superior Digestible Indispensable Amino Acid Score (DIAAS), indicating near-complete bioavailability

Study: Digestible Indispensable Amino Acid Score table: comparing protein sources.

Digestible Indispensable Amino Acid Score (2024)

Whey protein isolate achieves a PDCAAS of 1.00 and a DIAAS up to 1.09, placing it among the highest-quality dietary proteins available – meaning nearly all of its essential amino acids are absorbed and used. This supports clear whey’s fast digestion and effective utilisation.
