Most supplements that aid digestion and ease the strain on the gastrointestinal tract need to be taken numerous times a day before the main meals. DigestMax is different. When I use DigestMax, I take one serving per day prior to breakfast and that sees me right for the entire day.
Start with mixing 1/2 scoop with 400ml of water and drink straight away.
If the product is prepared with water and not consumed immediately it will take on a gelatinous texture, this is normal, hence why I suggest drinking it as soon as you can make it.
Who it’s for:
Whether you’re eating like a horse at bulk season, post-leg-day demolishing carbs, or just bloated from a big meal—DigestMax is your go-to. Even if you’re not that big, but get bloated or feel heavy after meals, this is a smart add-on.
What it does:
Think of DigestMax as a traffic controller and pit crew for your digestive system. The fibers (inulin & psyllium) help move food along, the probiotic strains balance your gut crew, and enzymes like bromelain and DigeZyme® break things down cleanly. The result? Less bloat, fewer gut gurgles, and more nutrients making it to where they matter.
How I would use it:
Morning or night, take half a scoop with 400 ml water and drink immediately (it does turn jelly-ish – just sip it down).
I’d use it on heavy eating days or whenever my gut feels suboptimal. Think of it like taking out the rubbish after a big dinner – it helps keep the system clean and running smoothly.
The Science:
Digestive enzyme supplementation enhances macronutrient digestion and nutrient absorption
Study: Acute physiological effects of a digestive enzyme blend on macronutrient digestion and absorption.
Frontiers in Nutrition (2024)
This study evaluated an enzyme blend (e.g. amylase, protease, lipase, glucoamylase, cellulase, xylanase, invertase akin to DigeZyme†) in human ileostomy samples. Results showed that the enzyme supplement significantly increased digestion of carbohydrates to simple sugars, indicating enhanced macronutrient breakdown and potential for improved nutrient absorption – supporting DigestMax’s role in facilitating efficient digestion.
MULTI-ENZYME + HERBALS REDUCE POST-MEAL BLOATING
Study: To assess whether a single dose of digestive enzymes + botanicals (ginger, fennel, peppermint) reduces bloating and abdominal distension after eating.
Nutrition and Dietary Supplements (2024)
https://doi.org/10.2147/NDS.S453377
25 healthy adults took either a placebo or a supplement containing 18 digestive enzymes + herbs before a pizza meal. Abdominal measurements and symptoms were recorded at 30 and 90 minutes post-meal.
The supplement group showed 58% less abdominal distension at 30 min and 68% less at 90 min vs placebo, with no reported side effects – supporting the use of digestive enzymes + herbs to reduce post-meal bloating.
