Is it suitable for vegans/vegetarians?

✅  Yes, it’s suitable for both vegans and vegetarians

My current ‘go-to’ intra-workout drink, I personally mix this with HydraMax (and half a dozen ice cubes) and I find it fantastically refreshing as I train. I love the Berry flavour, again it mixes really well with Berry HydraMax.

Basically when I train I am looking to accomplish 3 key things… 1.) thirst quenching, 2.) drip-feeding essential amino’s to muscles, and 3.) decent mineral balance – with this trio I get all 3.

Who it’s for:

If you dial into intra‑workout nutrition, training fasted, or just want to squeeze more reps and recover smoother, this is crafted for you. It’s a complete EAA and hydration package that fits hard‐trainers, endurance athletes, or anyone after peak feel‑good training.

What it does:

EAAs keep protein synthesis running so your muscles get a queue of raw materials to repair and grow. Add in that electrolyte blend and Senactiv®, and you’ve got performance fuel that hydrates, energises, and helps keep fatigue in check—like filling your car with premium fuel, topped up with oil and coolant for peak performance.

How I would use it:

I’d mix one scoop in 500 ml water and sip it during workouts, long cardio sessions, or even on rest days if I want a boost without calories. It’s perfect for when I’m smashing a morning session before breakfast or need to stretch energy and freshness through a workout block—just like topping up halfway on a road trip so you don’t run on empty later.

The Science:

Essential amino acid supplementation robustly stimulates muscle protein synthesis and supports muscle maintenance

This ISSN position review consolidates evidence supporting free-form essential amino acids (EAA’s) – as used in EssentialMax – for rapidly raising blood EAA levels and stimulating muscle protein synthesis (MPS) at rest or post-exercise. It highlights that even 1.5-3g before exercise can activate MPS, while 15 18 g supports full anabolic responses. EAA’s provide superior uptake compared to intact protein and do not require non-essential AAs. Suitable and safe for aging or calorie-deficit populations.

Acute EAA blend consumption delays fatigue and preserves force output during exercise

In this randomised, placebo-controlled crossover study of 20 trained males, ingestion of an EAA-rich mix (~0.15 g/kg bodyweight), similar to the leucine/isoleucine/valine ratio in EssentialMax, resulted in delayed decline in maximal voluntary contraction, reduced myoelectric indicators of fatigue, and lower blood lactate after resistance exercise – suggesting real-time benefits for workout performance and endurance.
