For background information, I’ve struggled with my sleep for years since becoming self-employed, I never actually struggle to fall asleep, but I can get restless throughout the night and the quality of my sleep can be poor if workload or stress is high.

I bought this to take at a very busy time of year (January), and saw huge improvements in sleep quality immediately.

This product has been invaluable in keeping my recovery and sleep on track. I track my sleep on an Oura Ring, and the data changes were astonishing. It’s become a staple now in my pre-bed routine.

I personally prefer the blueberry over the Mango, but then again I’m not taking this for the taste, I’m taking it for what it does!

Who it’s for:

This is for anyone whose mind races after dark – athletes with evening sessions, high-stress professionals, or lifelong ‘night owls’ needing better closure on the day. Great for physical fatigue and mental tension.

What it does:

This blend is like a nightly reboot kit: taurine and magnesium for chill, theanine and lemon balm for calm, ashwagandha and phosphatidylserine for stress support, and B-vits + choline for recovery and brain reset. It helps you wind down, sleep deeper, and wake more refreshed.

How I would use it:

One scoop (7 g) about 30-60 minutes before bed with water. I’d treat it like switching off the lights after a long day – simple, routine, non-drowsy. Stick with it nightly during busy periods or prep phases. I find this stacks very nicely with Glycine.

The Science:

Phosphatidylserine Reduces Exercise-Induced Cortisol in Humans

Study: To investigate whether phosphatidylserine (PS) supplementation could reduce cortisol responses to physical stress

Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise (2004)

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15273102/

A double‑blind, placebo‑controlled trial involving trained male subjects. Participants took 600 mg of PS daily for 10 days. After exercise stress, those in the PS group experienced approximately 30% less cortisol increase compared to placebo. Phosphatidylserine at 600mg/day effectively blunted exercise-induced cortisol spikes, supporting its role in stress recovery and hormonal regulation.

Magnesium Enhances Sleep Quality & Lowers Cortisol in Insomnia

Study: To evaluate whether oral magnesium supplementation can improve sleep quality, efficiency, reduce insomnia severity, and modulate stress – related biomarkers in elderly individuals with insomnia. A double‑blind, placebo‑controlled trial involving 46 elderly participants with primary insomnia. Subjects received 500mg/day of magnesium (as magnesium oxide) or placebo for 8 weeks. Sleep metrics, insomnia severity, and levels of cortisol, melatonin, and renin were assessed pre- and post-intervention.

Abbasi B. et al., Journal of Research in Medical Sciences (2012)

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23056856/

Magnesium supplementation significantly improved sleep time, efficiency, and sleep onset latency, lowered Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) scores, and reduced serum cortisol while increasing melatonin and renin levels – demonstrating dual benefits for stress relief and sleep enhancement.
