Quite simply, ZMax offers up great quality ingredients that do what they are supposed to, help you wind down at the end of a busy day.

Magnesium Threonate at 800mg and Magnesium Bisglycinate at 400mg offers up a whacking 1200mg of high quality magnesium. Alongside that you’ve got high quality zinc and a decent helping of Vitamin B6.

I’ve stacked this with SupportMax Neuro PM and Levagen and I had an incredible nights sleep prior to an exam, waking up feeling livelier than a newborn otter – and I passed!

Who it’s for:

Nighttime trainers, frequent stressors, or anyone stacking for recovery – this is for those who know a solid night’s rest is the secret to showing up better tomorrow.

What it does:

ZMAX offers dual magnesium for deep sleep and calm muscles, zinc to support hormones and immune health, and B6 to help the mix absorb and work properly. Consider it your night shift maintenance crew – no caffeine, just recovery-ready rest.

Some users even say it sparks vivid dreams – your brain’s logging replays while you snooze.

How I would use it:

Take 1-2 capsules 30 minutes before bed on nights after training or mental stress days. I’d usually go for 2 if I’ve been grinding – just like putting the system into deep-rest mode. Avoid if you have a seafood allergy due to facility processing.

The Science:

Magnesium supplementation may reduce sleep onset latency and improve sleep quality

Study: Oral magnesium supplementation for insomnia in older adults.

BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies (2021)

https://short-link.me/1ap5Y

A pooled analysis of three randomised controlled trials (151 older adults) comparing magnesium supplementation vs. placebo found that magnesium reduced sleep onset latency by 17 minutes (p = 0.0006). Total sleep time increased by 16 minutes, though not statistically significant. One study also reported improved sleep efficiency. No adverse effects noted.

Magnesium supplementation improves sleep quality, mood, and activity in poor sleepers

Study: Effectiveness of magnesium supplementation on sleep quality and mood for adults with poor sleep quality: A randomized crossover pilot trial.

Medical Research Archives (2024)

https://esmed.org/MRA/mra/article/view/5410

In a randomised crossover pilot (31 adults, avg age 46), 1,000 mg/day magnesium vs. placebo over two weeks significantly improved sleep quality, sleep duration, deep sleep, sleep efficiency, as well as readiness and mood outcomes (p < .05). No side effects were reported, and compliance was excellent
