Hydreau has been added to the VITALISE range after we trialled it as a free single-serve sachet for a few months, and due to consistent customer demand, I’ve now brought it in as a full tub.

It is a great option for people who want hydration support without relying on sugary sports drinks or caffeine. It’s not just ‘flavoured water’, it brings together electrolytes, coconut water powder, taurine, tyrosine, vitamin C and D-ribose, which gives it more of a performance and recovery angle than a basic electrolyte tablet.

Who it’s for:

People who sweat heavily during training, sport or busy workdays.

Gym-goers, athletes and active people who want electrolyte support without caffeine.

Anyone who struggles to drink enough water because they find plain water boring.

Those who want something lower-calorie than traditional sports drinks.

What it does:

Provides key electrolytes including sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium to support hydration and normal muscle function.

Includes coconut water powder and sea minerals for additional hydration support.

Contains taurine and tyrosine, which EHP Labs link to focus, clarity and day-to-day performance.

Supplies vitamin C and D-ribose as part of the wider energy and vitality support angle.

How I’d use it:

Use 1 scoop in cold water during or after training, especially if you’re sweating heavily.

It also makes sense on hot days, long workdays, travel days, or when you need to increase fluid intake.

I wouldn’t treat it as a replacement for good hydration habits, but it’s a useful way to make drinking fluids easier and more effective.

If you’re sensitive to sweeteners, start with more water than the label suggests and adjust to taste.

Electrolyte content made an important contribution to beverage hydration properties, supporting the use of electrolyte-containing products like Hydreau for hydration compared with plain water alone.
