£22.95

Marchon Performance Hydration is an electrolyte powder designed to support hydration, performance, endurance, focus and recovery.

It provides sodium, potassium and magnesium, the key electrolytes lost through sweat, alongside maltodextrin for quick energy and to support fluid absorption.

This is an awesome product for anyone training hard, sweating heavily, doing endurance work, Hyrox/Crossfit style sessions – football, running, cycling, hiking or simply needing better hydration through the day.

Serving size – 1 scoop (10g)

Mix 1 scoop with 500ml of water.

For exercise performance, Marchon recommends taking 1 scoop in the 30-minute window before training.

If you sweat a lot during training, it can also be taken during or after training.

It can also be used first thing in the morning to support daily hydration.

This is a really useful product because hydration is one of those areas people massively underestimate.

Most people think hydration is just about drinking more water, but if you’re training hard, sweating heavily, doing long sessions or training in warm conditions, water alone doesn’t always cut it.

You lose electrolytes through sweat, especially sodium, and if you don’t replace them properly your performance, focus, energy and recovery can all be impaired.

What I like about Marchon Performance Hydration is the quality… and that it’s simple and purposeful. You’ve got sodium, potassium and magnesium, plus a small amount of carbohydrate from maltodextrin.

That makes sense because it’s not just an electrolyte drink, it’s designed to support hydration and performance around training.

The sodium content is the big standout for me. At 750mg per serving, this is more serious than a lot of watered-down hydration products on the market. For perspiring athletes, runners, cyclists, Hyrox/Crossfit competitors, footballers, gym users or anyone doing hard conditioning work, that matters.

I’d use this before training to make sure you’re not starting a session dehydrated. If it’s a particularly sweaty session.

’d also consider it during or afterwards. It also makes sense first thing in the morning if you know you’re someone who wakes up feeling flat, dry or under-hydrated.

The Science:

Ingesting a 6% carbohydrate-electrolyte solution improves endurance capacity, but not sprint performance, during intermittent, high-intensity shuttle running in adolescent team games players

Study: This study investigated whether a carbohydrate-electrolyte solution could improve performance during intermittent, high-intensity shuttle running.

European Journal of Applied Physiology, 2010

This supports the use of carbohydrate-electrolyte drinks around hard training, particularly when the goal is maintaining endurance capacity during repeated high-intensity efforts.

Post-exercise rehydration in man: effects of volume consumed and drink sodium content

Study: This study investigated how drink volume and sodium content affected rehydration after exercise.

This supports the inclusion of sodium in hydration products, especially when the goal is replacing fluid losses after sweating and improving fluid retention post-exercise.
